November, 2008
We left home in the fall of 2008 with the idea of doing music ministry as we traveled. At one of our first stops, we found ourselves at an RV park in Texas. We were invited to do a concert, and were very well received. After our performance, someone asked if we had any CDs for sale. Then that same person gave Kathy some money and told us to send her a CD when we got one made. We had no idea what we were getting into. Robb bought a computer and software for recording along with a digital audio interface, headphones, and a large diaphragm condenser microphone. All that was left to do was make countless mistakes and explore more than our fair share of rabbit holes.

We were finally done! The project was sent out to be mastered. After mastering it was sent to be replicated. Preparing the artwork for a CD was another whole new learning curve. Luckily, we knew somebody who spoke that language and had skills in that area. Thanks, KB!
Winter 2017-2018:
Since then we have grown quite a bit with our recording, arranging, mixing, mastering, and producing skills. In the winter of 2017-18 we decided to re-mix our Crossroads CD. We sang some of the parts over, and added new harmonies. We also did some audio polishing of the sound with our new gear. At the time of this writing, the rough mixes are finished, but we won't finalize the project until we get back into our studio in Wisconsin late this spring. The new tracks will be available on or before June 1, 2018, and they will replace the tracks available for download on this page.
The songs on this CD cover a wide range of Christian music styles. Each song is based on God's Word. We hope that you enjoy this collection of songs as much as we enjoyed recording it. Besides including many of our favorite songs, we included two songs written by friends we have met during our travels.
"God Bless America" was written by Henry Dersken, a Canadian singer/songwriter who lived and worked in the US for many years. His love for our country's Christian heritage prompted him to write a musical prayer for our nation as he witnessed our country's foundation starting to crumble. At the end of the song, Kathy reads excerpts from "A Prayer For the Nation" by Thomas Jefferson, our third president, to emphasize the fact that America was founded on Christian principles.
"Keep On Walkin'' is just one of the many songs of faith written by Ray Guzzardo. He describes this song as a personal testimony - a life spent running away from God, changed to a life walkin' toward the Lord. At the time this song was written, Ray was working at an RV park in Central Florida. He was also playing guitar and piano, and singing at the park's Sunday worship services.
Thanks to Rick & Gloria at The Bees RV Park for allowing us to use The Beehive to record some of our vocal tracks.
We thank our daughter, Kathy Behnke, for the CD design.
To everyone else we have met along the way: Keep on praising Him until we meet again... somewhere on life's CROSSROADS.
